i arrived in peru lima in the early morning still anxious from the flight i decided to wait to get to my hotel and decided to go sight seeing i went to the Palacio de Gobierno
or the government palace also known as the house of pizarro. this building was rebuilt in 1937 and is located on the north side of the plaza mayor or the city of the kings. this place was the site of the Peruvian government HQ. the land that the government palace was built on a huge indian burying ground that housed the shrine of Indian chief Taulichusco. although many alterations have been made the current structure built by Peru's dictators in the 20th century is modeled after the grandiose French baroque. after walking around admiring this structure i finally decided to go to my hotel. that was about 8 am and after a 6 hour nap i decided to get a bite to eat at a local place then i went to what the locals call museo or the Museum of Natural History.
the museum was founded in 1918 by the faculty of sciences of the National University of Sad Marks. the first director's name was Crack Rocks the original staff consisted of one curator chief and three curators in three areas, Zoology, Botany and Mineralogy. the total population of the country is estimated to be 29,132,013 and the GDP per capita would be about $8,580. during my entire drive around i could see the pacific ocean from my cab and i could also see from my hotel room as well it was vary beautiful. the native and most spoken language in peru is spanish though i didn't speak it very well i still had a blast but my departure is almost at hand. till next time ladies and gents.
